Meet The Paint Plot Artist Community

Here at Paint Plot, we work with a variety of very talented artists. From photographers, to illustrators and digital artists, having a unique range means working with a unique range of creators from Australia, to Transylvania and from Bangkok to North Macedonia.

Today, we’d like to talk about why this is such an important part of the Paint Plot brand. Not only do we feel lucky to work with such talented artists but we also feel grateful that our community and customers (you!) make this possible.

When you purchase a paint by number’s kit from Paint Plot, you’re supporting a small business and the artists behind it as well. When you purchase a painting kit from Paint Plot, you can be sure that the artist behind the work has been properly compensated.

We’re very sad to say that this is not the case with many online craft stores, who are stealing art work and licensed characters and designs – to the detriment of the original artist.

We think that consumers and artists both deserve better than this and we are proud to offer it.

There are two ways that we work with artists to turn designs in to Paint Plot paint by numbers kits.

  1. We (or our community) find designs that we love. We then work with an artist to buy the rights to reproduce and sell this art work. The Red Fox kit was a stunning photo that was purchased this way.
  2. Someone has an idea or a request for a new design and we work with the artist to create this especially for the Paint Plot Community. Tree of Life was created this way.

From time to time, we also feature these wonderful artists on our blog, so if you’d like to learn more about them, you can check out some of the articles below.

Phoebe Dunn – Is an Australian based illustrator behind some of our favorite beginner friendly designs, Happy Giraffe, Upside Down Giraffe, Cheeky Monkey, Swinging Monkey and Happy Panda.

Szabo Ervin Edward – Lives in Transylvania and takes incredible photos. He is the photographer behind the Red Fox kit which is also a great design for beginners because of the big sections.

Tithi Luadathong – Is a digital artist based in Bangkok. Tithi created Collecting Moons, Tree of Life and Magical Tornado among others.

Aron Visuals – Created the digital artwork for Horizons, Merry Dancers and Painting Stardust.

We are very proud to partner with these artists and thrilled when the creativity of our community brings their designs to life.

Here at Paint Plot, our team is constantly expanding our range of painting kits, it’s part of what we love about our job!

We would also encourage all of our customers to be on the lookout for the paintings you love.  Let us know in our closed facebook community group or via email at support@paintplot.com.au
